Once cut, I glued the pieces together at a point. I then spray painted them with white spray paint that I already had. While the paint was still wet, I applied a translucent glitter and then sprayed it with a clear glaze. I gave mine a few coats to seal in the glitter.
To bring the flakes together, I added a snowflake button in the middle to cover up the glue.
I waited a good day before doing anything with these snowflakes.

I love that idea; what a great way to recycle too; that basket is so pretty--I'd love it if someone brought that to my house!
Hi! Caught my eye over at 30 Days! I am big on tp roll projects. I just made a garland using them...I think I am going to go give them a glitter bath to make them sparkle. :) Great job...so pretty!
